With the advent
of mankind on this planet, the struggle for dominance
between good and evil also began. Along with the first human being, the
Creator-Allah, Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, also sent down guidance for him and his
progeny which would guide them through their journey of life. This process of
guiding humankind through revelation and Prophets continued in all nations and
tribes till the last Prophet Mohammad Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam upon whom was
revealed the last and updated version of guidance- the Qur’an. This book is the
embodiment of the religion of truth, Islam, which means complete submission to
the Will of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala). This revealed message of Al-Qur’an and
its authentic explanation & interpretation contained in the Sunnah and
Ahadith of Prophet Mohammad (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) provide comprehensive
guidance in all aspects of human life, be it moral, spiritual, social, economic
or political, individual or collective. Due to the rejection of this guidance,
the present day mankind has degraded into a morass of injustice, confusion,
chaos and conflicts. Although he has achieved tremendous scientific &
technological progress but at the same time, he has been robbed of peace &
tranquility. In his pursuit of acquired knowledge, he has turned a blind eye to
the revealed knowledge thus disturbing his balanced development and advance.
There is a strong urge for a guidance which would strike a balance between his
material progress and spiritual needs. This desire transcends geographical
boundaries and cultures. It is Islam and only Islam, universal in content and
rational in thought, that can pull mankind out of this morass and ensure his
balanced and harmonious development. There is, therefore, an urgent need to
project the Divine message in its pristine purity, preach-out with Islam and
follow it with social action. Islamic Study Circle J&K, as the name
suggests, strives for bringing intellectual change in the people, organizing
them in order to make them suitable for a movement and reforming the society
through social and humanitarian work. Our endeavor is to bring man in close
contact with the Word of Allah (the Qur,an) and create an environment which would facilitate
an individual's moral and intellectual growth. This process of reform extends
from an individual to his family, his nears & dears and then gradually to
his surroundings. The revival, which is from within to without, aims at a
peaceful and prosperous society established on the principles of social justice
and equality.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
Islamic Study
Circle J&K is non-political in character pursuing following objectives:
* To facilitate in
understanding the fundamental Doctrines of Islam.
* Character
building in accordance with Islamic principles.
* To cooperate
with organizations, having similar goals.
* To initiate and
promote common welfare activities.
* To establish
enriching contact with scholars, organizations and groups working in the field
of Da’wah.
* To study religious literature of various schools
of Islamic thought.
